Set Top Box - (機頂盒)
Hello, all my sumcc buddies. I am searching information regarding the Set Top Box. Having search information from the Web. I am now focus on the Magic TV 3000, Eight, Viewsonic and V Digi.Have you purchased one of those Set top box or any other brand you have bought and find the quality is good?

Ivan, in fact, some brands of TV producers have been launched the LCD TV with decoder. But, I knew that the price seem to be costly. So, you can wait a moment as the price will be dropped later. :onion126 Magic Pro is the best choice in Video quality but most expensive, new version has recording function.
Eight is my choice but I have not bought one, I am using Now TV decoder at this moment. The price of "Magic TV 5000", model with recording function, is around $5000 dollars. It is too expensive. :onion145

Just have a look at magic tv website and find out that the magic tv model 3000 will release new firmware to support recording function on 30 June 2008 the lastest. :onion137

Pro:
The price is very competitive.
The picture quality of both HD-TVB and HD-ATV are superb. (Only HD channel quailty is superb)
The STB is not very hot.
Con:
Lots of the broadcasting channel is 4:3. No accelerated key for changing display from 4:3 to 16:9
Report from users saying that the recording functions is unreliable (I haven't perform any test.)
